EXPANDED CORK AGGLOMERATE

Sustainability

If there is a 100% natural and sustainable insulation material it is undoubtedly the expanded cork agglomerate. Natural raw material, comes from naturally regenerating cork oak forest, and its manufacture has no negative impacts. In its industrial process it only uses cork as its raw material and water steam… Agglomeration is made with its own resin (suberin). 93% of the energy consumption is waste biomass from its own industrial process.

Features

Excellent thermal, acoustic and anti-vibration characteristics. Virtually unlimited durability without loss their properties. It is a fully recyclable and reusable material.

Applications

Thermal, acoustic and anti-vibration insulation, especially suitable for exterior (ETICS), interior and double walls; slabs and flat, sloping and landscaped roofs.

MD FACHADA

Sustainability

MDFACHADA special expanded cork agglomerate, a 100% natural material without additives and environmental impacts in its production, is recommended for outdoor applications. Its reference work is its application on the main façade of the Portuguese pavilion at Expo 2000 in Hannover and since 2002 in Coimbra, without any apparent anomaly. There are many other references in Portugal and abroad. This track record allows us to ensure that its durability, when exposed, is over 10 years, as in other applications there is material without loss of characteristics over 50 years.

Features

Excellent thermal, acoustic and anti- vibration characteristics. Virtually unlimited durability without loss of features. Density of about 130 kg/m3and Euroclass E fire reaction. It is a fully recyclable and reusable material.

Applications

Suitable for exterior application, such as facade cladding, and also for interior uses. Depending on the structural element, it must be mechanically fixed (screw) or glued.

WAVE

Sustainability

The special expanded cork agglomerate WAVE is a decorative system that allows various finishing textures in CNC technology, which allows 3D printing on a 100% natural material and without additives, such as cork, which in addition has no environmental impact on its production. It is recommended for indoor applications.

There are already many references in Portugal and abroad for works with this finishing material. This record, although recent, allows us to guarantee a very considerable mechanical durability and resistance.

Features

Excellent thermal (λ = 0,043 W/m°C), acoustic and anti-vibration characteristics. Virtually unlimited durability without loss of characteristics, unlike oil-based insulation materials. It is a fully recyclable material. With a density between 140 and 160 kg/m3 and reaction to fire Euroclass E.

Applications

Indicated to apply inside façades. Depending on the structural element, it must be mechanically fixed (screw) or glued.
