Plaster Boards

Sustainability
In the manufacture of Gyptec laminated plaster boards, environmentally and economically sustainable ecological raw materials and clean methods are used. Gyptec Ibérica uses recycled paper and FGD plaster as raw material, a by-product of Portuguese thermoelectric power plants, avoiding the mineral exploitation of plaster and contributing to the preservation of natural resources. The dry building system is a fast, clean, economical and environmentally sustainable method for modernizing buildings. Its application significantly reduces the heating and cooling energy needs of buildings.
Features
Allows adaptation to any geometric condition in the interior distributions of buildings. Also noteworthy are the surface hardness, hygroscopicity, homogeneous texture, non-flammable, resistant and stable. Because it is a lightweight material it can be handled by one worker only, providing a low labor cost.
Applications
Interior partitions, interior cladding of exterior walls, suspended ceilings, lighting crown moldings and other elements. For rehabilitation, we highlight the boards with built-in insulation, such as the GYPCORK board, composed of laminated plaster board and expanded cork agglomerate.

Gypcork board

Sustainability
The Gypcork board responds to the growing demand for solutions that contribute to greater acoustic, thermal and energy efficiency of existing and new buildings. It is a built-in low energy product with high percentage of by-products from other industries and renewable materials that contribute to CO2 absorption. The Gypcork board brings together two Portuguese products of excellence: the Gyptec plaster board produced in Figueira da Foz using ecological raw materials and non-polluting methods and the expanded cork agglomerate, excellent thermal and acoustic insulation, produced by Amorim Isolamentos through a process 100% natural and without waste.
Features
Multi-layer construction solution combining cork properties: thermal, acoustic and anti-vibration insulation, high thermal inertia, unlimited durability, dimensional stability and good fire behavior; with those of the plaster board: acoustic insulation, low thermal conductivity, humidity regulator, non-combustible and effective in fire barriers, durable and impact resistant.
Applications
Cladding and thermal and acoustic insulation by the interior of walls and ceilings. Ideal for rehabilitation or as a root solution for new projects, the recommended system depends on the conditions of the wall or ceiling and the desired insulation. Gypcork boards can be glued directly or applied with auxiliary metal structure.
