Ventilated Facade

Sustainability

Among the existing façade solutions on the market, the ventilated façade has the highest energy efficiency and acoustic comfort by incorporating mineral wool as insulation. The Ultravent range used in this ventilated façade system is non-combustible and water-repellent. It is produced with ECOSE® technology, environmentally friendly resins without formaldehydes or phenols, with low emission of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) and unalterable thermal properties over time.

Features

Knauf Insulation’s ventilated façade system is made of Ultravent mineral wool, applied to the outside of the wall, with a veil or black fabric on one side, which guarantees excellent thermal and acoustic performance. In this same wall is applied a structure that allows to create thickness between the insulation wool and the finishing, thus creating an air chamber that avoids thermal bridges and condensation of the water vapor, besides the acoustic advantages.

Applications

On facades (applied to brick or concrete walls)

Urbanscape

Sustainability

Urbanscape is Knauf Insulation’s complete green roof solution. It allows the reduction of the greenhouse effect, with the decrease of the heat produced, since it can be 40º cooler than a traditional cover. It retains and purifies rainwater and contributes to cleaner air by reducing CO2 (1 m² of green cover can absorb 5 kg of CO2 per year). It is a natural habitat of some species, reproduced this way in the urban plan. It also helps reduce energy consumption by enhancing thermal stability and reduces noise.

Features

Urbanscape is a complete system consisting of an anti-root membrane, a drainage system with or without a water reservoir, a patented original rock mineral wool substrate and a layer of vegetation – grass mat. The irrigation system is provided according to the climatic conditions of the region.

Applications

Easy to install and very light, it allows the application without reinforcement of the building structure, making it ideal for both new construction and rehabilitation..

Ultracoustic

Sustainability

The Ultracoustic panels are non-combustible and are classified as non-hydrophilic products. They are made with ECOSE® technology, resins without formaldehyde more environmentally sustainable. These products use a natural resin, in which production is utilized about 70% less energy than the traditional, and where easily renewable organic materials replace chemical components. In addition, the absence of formaldehyde or phenol in ECOSE® technology significantly reduces carbon emissions.

Features

The Ultracoustic range comes in the form of compact panels or rollers, that allows to optimize labor performance and adapt to customer needs, meeting the highest acoustic, thermal and comfort parameters of buildings. ECOSE® technology allows insulation to not tear apart when cut and to be soft to the touch.

Applications

For internal divisions and suspendend ceilings, the Ultracoustic panels are most suitable. For floors, Knauf Insulation also offers a solution for floating floors – the Ultracoustic T.
